The Department of Cognitive Science at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada < https://carleton.ca/cognitivescience/ <https://carleton.ca/cognitivescience/>> is inviting applicants for Masters and PhD positions.

The Cognitive Science faculty and students conduct research in computational modeling, AI, HCI, cognitive development, philosophy of mind, theoretical linguistics, psycho/neurolinguistics, cognitive engineering, and other sub-fields of cognitive science. In our graduate program, students acquire broad theoretical perspectives on cognition and obtain a wide range of methodological tools that allow then to comprehensively examine thinking in humans and machines.

Successful applicants will have access to facilities within the Department, which include eye-tracking, EEG, fNIRS, virtual reality systems, and flight simulators.

Several different funding sources are available to support qualified students (in the form of TA-ships, awards etc.). Applicants are also encouraged to apply for external funding.

The deadline for applications is February 1, 2021. Questions about our graduate program can be directed to uzma.khan at carleton.ca <mailto:uzma.khan at carleton.ca>. Interested applicants are encouraged to contact potential supervisors prior to applying to discuss their application.
