Hi Catherine,

This is Scott from Storm; I'm happy to chime in here.

Melissa and I have been tweaking the MathLink system a bit, but it definitely wouldn't affect delivery. In fact, she sent a message earlier today and I received it almost instantly. Usually, when there's a delay like yours, it means that one of the mail servers in the path from the sender to you - maybe even your own server - is delayed delivery as it believe the message is spam. So, it goes through a diligence of sorts to verify validity. The good news is, you're still receiving them (as opposed to them going to spam), but you might want to forward the message to your IT staff to get them to whitelist the the-mcls.org<http://the-mcls.org> domain.

Hope that helps,
-Scott.

Dear MCLS trainee board,

I hope this message finds you well.

I'm writing because I always receive your precious messages far after the battle. For example this one was sent on October 24 (because you mention tomorrow as being the 25), and unfortunately I receive the message only today.

Is there a mean to fix the problem ?

Thanks a lot

Catherine

Two Job Opportunities on ?Orchestrating Numeracy and the Executive? - (The ONE) programme

We are seeking two graduate researchers or equivalent professionals to join an exciting ongoing project at the interface between psychology, education and intervention. We have developed a preschool-based intervention geared to improving preschoolers? executive and numeracy skills: the ?Orchestrating Numeracy and the Executive? (The ONE) programme. A particular objective of this intervention is to improve the foundations of early numeracy, by working in collaboration with early years education practitioners and by leveraging informal educational opportunities in the early environment. Importantly, we built on a partnership between cognitive scientists, educational experts and practitioners to maximise future applied potential.

The two appointees will be based respectively at the University of Sheffield (Research Assistant) and at the University of Oxford (Project Manager and Recruitment Officer). They will join an extended and fantastic team connecting the University of Oxford, the University of Sheffield and our national / international collaborators, to recruit a large number of preschool settings, manage and deliver The ONE in a large scale randomised controlled trial (RCT). This RCT will evaluate the effectiveness of the programme in improving young children?s mathematics outcomes, with a particular focus on economically disadvantaged children. Pending final confirmation of funding, both posts will be funded by the Education Endowment Foundation full time from 1st January 2023 until 30th June 2025.

For queries regarding the posts or job descriptions, feel free to contact Prof Gaia Scerif, gaia.scerif at psy.ox.ac.uk<mailto:gaia.scerif at psy.ox.ac.uk><mailto:gaia.scerif at psy.ox.ac.uk<mailto:gaia.scerif at psy.ox.ac.uk>> and Dr Emma Blakey, emma.blakey at sheffield.ac.uk<mailto:emma.blakey at sheffield.ac.uk><mailto:emma.blakey at sheffield.ac.uk<mailto:emma.blakey at sheffield.ac.uk>>.
