Dear MCLS member,

We have received many great questions for our upcoming MCLS trainee Special
- challenge questions for this week!
Due to the time limit, we will pick 2 questions per topic and will keep
other questions for future MCLS Specials.

Below are the questions that will be discussed on Thursday, *September the
29th at 10am EST/ 3pm BST: *

*Neuroscience*:
    A) What brain areas are involved in mathematical reasoning?

    B) How can modern technologies (such as eye trackers) be used in the
context of numerical cognition research?

*Developmental cognition:*
    A) Do we have adequate measures to measure developmental cognition
(over time)?
    B) What is the state of evidence for the pacing schedule of
instructions for early numeracy skills (from a developmental/cognitive
point of view)?

*Environmental influences:*
    A) Can we adequately measure environmental influences (while limiting
confounders) in the context of numerical cognition research?
    B) What is the state of evidence for the pacing schedule of
instructions for early numeracy skills (from an environmental influence
point of view)?

Passcode: MCLS2022

Unfortunately, as there will be 1 breakout room per topic, it is not
possible to take part in all three discussions at the same time. Switching
between groups is allowed, but not recommended, however, we will bring the
three discussions together in the end.
