[MATHLINK] Math anxiety intervention postdoc position at Florida State University

Hi everyone,


I am hiring a postdoctoral researcher to work on an NSF-funded research
project to adapt and test a math anxiety intervention for elementary school
children that draws on cognitive behavioral therapy approaches. The
postdoctoral researcher will assist with the development and testing of the
intervention in the lab, administer the intervention to children in
schools, conduct data analyses, present research findings at conferences,
and write journal articles for publication. Please see the abstract on the

Co-PIs Dr. Sara Hart, Dr. Alexandria Meyer, and Dr. Maria Chiara
Passolunghi, and I will provide hands-on mentorship on intervention
implementation, advanced statistical analysis, open science practices,
manuscript writing, grant writing, and lab management. Funding is also
available for training and travel opportunities.



Candidates should have a PhD in developmental psychology, human
development, school psychology, clinical psychology, educational
psychology, mathematics education, or a related field, evidence of
scholarly productivity, and experience conducting research on math learning
or academic emotions with children and/or experience developing or
implementing educational or psychological interventions with children.



The start date can be any time between June and September of 2023. Annual
salary for the position is anticipated to be $59,000. The position is for
1-year officially, but intended to be renewed for a second year.
