Featured Speakers: * Elvira Antonucci — Science communicator, SISSA Medialab - Trieste (Italy) * Marta Fornasier — Science communicator and mathematician, SISSA Medialab - Trieste (Italy) * Elvira and Marta design and facilitate educational and orientation activities for schools and the public, with a particular focus on informal learning and active participation. They are in charge of projects with schools, such as the program "SISSA for Schools", and the Children's University of SISSA, of which Elvira is the project manager. Message-ID: Dear MCLS Community, We are excited to tell you about this year's MCLS mentoring program! The MCLS mentoring program is open to all members of the mathematical cognition and learning community. The program gives mentees the opportunity to be supported by a researcher outside of their existing support network who can share experiences and provide guidance on topics important for the mentee. Roles include mentor, mentee, and/or buddy. More information on the mentoring program is available here. To sign up as a mentor, mentee, and/or buddy please fill out this form by January 14. There are two optional speed networking sessions this Thursday, on December 18 at 4pm HKT / 7pm AEDT / 8am GMT / 9am CET AND at 11am EST / 8am PST / 4pm GMT / 5pm CET. If you have time, you can of course also attend both sessions. The speed networking event will give you the opportunity to informally chat with fellow members, build connections and explore potential matches!
