Dear Colleagues,

We are currently conducting a scoping review on the neurodevelopment of numerical cognition of toddlers aged 1 to 3 years. Our aim is to identify suitable task settings for this population.

We are seeking unpublished manuscripts, working papers, preprints, papers in press, theses, conference papers or posters, or any other form of grey literature or unpublished data related to this topic.

Inclusion criteria:

  *
Studies involving toddlers aged 1 to 3 years
  *
Longitudinal studies that include this age range, as long as outcomes for 1- to 3-year-olds are reported separately
  *
Experimental designs, both in home or laboratory settings
  *
Equipped numerical and mathematical cognition tasks on any mathematical outcome

Exclusion criteria:

  *
Studies that include a broader age range without independent analysis for 1- to 3-year-olds
  *
Tasks unrelated to numerical cognition or mathematical abilities

If you have any relevant work that fits these criteria, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share it with us via is00907 at surrey.ac.uk by 17 April 2025. All contributions suitable for inclusion will be properly cited in our publication.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or clarifications. Thank you for your time. We are very grateful for any contribution.

Best regards,
