<p>Dear Colleagues,</p>
<p>We are currently conducting a qualitative systematic review of
autonomic nervous system activation during mathematics. The
research team includes Dr. Maristella Lunardon, Dr. Christina
Artemenko, and Prof. Hans-Christoph Nuerk from the University of
Tübingen; Franziska Eckerskorn from Ludwig Maximilian University
of Munich; and Cynthia Fioriti from Georgetown University.</p>
<p>To complement our systematic database search, which was conducted
in July 2025, we are seeking:</p>
<ul>
<li>relevant papers published after July 2025; and</li>
<li>unpublished or otherwise difficult-to-locate reports,
including dissertations, conference papers, preprints,
manuscripts, and other grey literature.</li>
</ul>
<p>Studies are eligible for inclusion if they meet the following
criteria:</p>
<ul>
<li>The study reports quantitative measures of parasympathetic
and/or sympathetic nervous system activity, such as
electrocardiography, electrodermal activity, pupillometry, or
cortisol concentration.</li>
<li>At least one experimental condition involves a mathematics
task or numerical stimuli.</li>
<li>The mathematical task can be distinguished from other
stress-inducing activities, such as public speaking or complex
non-mathematical cognitive tasks, so that the physiological
response attributable to the mathematical component can be
examined.</li>
<li>Participants may be children, adolescents, or adults of any
age.</li>
<li>The report is written in English.</li>
</ul>
