[MATHLINK] Call for Published and Unpublished Research: Autonomic Nervous System Activation During Mathematics

Dear Colleagues,

We are currently conducting a qualitative systematic review of autonomic 
nervous system activation during mathematics. The research team includes 
Dr. Maristella Lunardon, Dr. Christina Artemenko, and Prof. 
Hans-Christoph Nuerk from the University of Tübingen; Franziska 
Eckerskorn from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich; and Cynthia 
Fioriti from Georgetown University.

To complement our systematic database search, which was conducted in 
July 2025, we are seeking:

  * relevant papers published after July 2025; and
  * unpublished or otherwise difficult-to-locate reports, including
    dissertations, conference papers, preprints, manuscripts, and other
    grey literature.

Studies are eligible for inclusion if they meet the following criteria:

  * The study reports quantitative measures of parasympathetic and/or
    sympathetic nervous system activity, such as electrocardiography,
    electrodermal activity, pupillometry, or cortisol concentration.
  * At least one experimental condition involves a mathematics task or
    numerical stimuli.
  * The mathematical task can be distinguished from other
    stress-inducing activities, such as public speaking or complex
    non-mathematical cognitive tasks, so that the physiological response
    attributable to the mathematical component can be examined.
  * Participants may be children, adolescents, or adults of any age.
  * The report is written in English.
