[MATHLINK] Call for Papers - npj Science of Learning - “Mathematical Cognition in Evolving Learning Environments”

Dear MCLS community,



I am writing to let you know that *npj Science of Learning* is currently
welcoming submissions to a collection on “*Mathematical Cognition in
Evolving Learning Environments*
<https://www.nature.com/collections/cgiefaideh>”. As the Collection’s Guest
Editor, along with Dr. Flavia Santos and Dr. Iro Xenidou-Dervou, I hope you
will consider this as an outlet for a future research paper.



This Collection invites submissions that investigate mechanisms underlying
mathematical learning and underachievement in various learning
environments, capturing protective and risk factors through cognitive,
affective and educational outcomes across earlier and more advanced
developmental stages (e.g., from early years to adulthood). Manuscripts
submitted to the Collection may include original primary research Articles

The submission deadline is 28 November 2026.



If accepted for publication, an *article processing charge* (APC) applies.
Many funders and institutions now cover Open Access (OA)  publishing costs
for affiliated researchers, as part of an OA agreement with Springer Nature
<https://www.springernature.com/gp/open-science/oa-agreements>. If you are
the corresponding author from a participating institution, you may be
eligible to publish with the APC covered or discounted.
