Sign Language Interpretation Needs
This year, the MCLS conference will be hosted at The Education University of Hong Kong. Because of the lead time needed to source for sign language interpreters, we ask that if you require sign language interpreters and/or captions, please email mcls.conference.2025@gmail.com as early as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Making Presentations Accessible and Available
We request all presenters to submit a close to final copy of their presentation (talk, lightning talk, or poster) at least 48 hours before their scheduled presentation to ensure that low vision individuals and other attendees can download materials on their personal devices ahead of time. Further, this will allow time for sign language interpreters to become familiarized with the content to ensure proper interpretation.
Please download the following infographics for tips on making your presentation accessible.

Venue Accessibility
A low-stimulation room will be available to attendees who might need a quiet space during the day to relax. We also encourage attendees who need some rest and calm to walk around the campus. The peaceful and natural surroundings, with scenic views of the ocean and mountains, may also help attendees rejuvenate. All spaces are wheelchair accessible and within a few minutes walking distance from each other. A classroom with sinks (D2-P-02) will be available for parents and infants.
Other Types of Accessibility
To ensure dietary options that meet various restrictions, please remember to indicate your dietary needs during the registration process. If you need any other accommodations, please email mcls.conference.2025@gmail.com as soon as possible to allow us time to prepare for it.
