Conference Venue
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) is a publicly funded tertiary institution dedicated to advancing teaching and learning through a diverse offering of academic and research programs on teacher education and complementary social sciences and humanities disciplines. The university is nestled on the foothills of the Pak Sin Leng mountain ridge, in Ting Kok, New Territories (Hong Kong S.A.R., China), hence offering breath-taking views of the surrounding country parks.
Under the Faculty of Education and Human Development (FEHD), the Department of Early Childhood Education (ECE) is the largest department in EdUHK. We have over 50 full-time academic and teaching staff, 60 guest lecturers, and 20 administrative support staff. We have over 2,200 students in sub-degree and undergraduate programs and more than 350 students in post-graduate programs.
Our ECE Department’s research and teaching expertise covers the areas, including arts and creativity, child development, family and community, health promotion and well-being, language and literacy, learning cognition and development, pedagogy and professional development, special needs education, and teacher education.
Conference Organization:
MCLS 2025 is hosted by The Department of Early Childhood Education, EdUHK. We will take several steps to dismantle accessibility barriers, ensuring an accessible conference:
- All posters and presentations will be available online to facilitate access to content.
- Attention will be paid to physical barriers and distances between conference rooms to ensure easy access to all locations.
- Food served during the conference and the reception will include options for individuals with dietary restrictions.
- A low-stimulation room for downtime from the busy halls and conference rooms will be available.
- A classroom with sinks (D2-P-02) will be available for parents and infants.
- Should deaf attendees be present, we will work with them to provide sign language interpretation and/or captions. If you require sign language interpretation and/or captions, please email mcls.conference.2025@gmail.com with more information as early as possible.
What we ask of you:
To ensure our conference is accessible to the community members, we ask that all presenters upload the rough drafts of their slides and posters at least 48 hours before their presentations.
On the day of their talk, we ask that every presenter uploads their final version of their slides or posters to provide guests with the possibility of seeing the presentation on their personal devices.
