Information about Gallaudet
Welcome to Gallaudet: A Signing Community!
Gallaudet is a bilingual learning environment in American Sign Language (ASL) and English and has a proud tradition of serving deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing communities. While you’re here, we encourage you to learn some basics in ASL and learn more about Deaf culture.

Travel
The conference rooms will be located on the ground floor of King Jordan Academic Center (JSAC, #13 on map) and in Foster Hall (#14 on map). The poster sessions will be held on the ground floor of the Sorensons Language and Communication Center (SLCC, #12 on map).
Registration tables will be in JSAC or SLCC. Registration will open on the 25th at 3pm until 6pm and continue every day from 8:30 am until the end of the conference.
All locations are wheelchair accessible and close to each other.
Dorms should be in building 26, in the Living and Learning Residence Hall.
For anyone driving to campus, you may purchase a parking pass in the Department of Public Safety office (open 24/7) on the ground floor of Carlin Hall (#29 on map). You may purchase a daily pass for $10 and a week pass for $40. Please plan ahead as you will need your driver's ID, plate information and car registration documents. See map below for parking locations but we suggest using the Field House parking, under the Hanson Plaza parking and after the Olmsted Green field.
